Strengthening financial and operational systems for philanthropic funds, international nonprofits and social justice initiatives.
I have extensive experience collaborating with nongovernmental, nonprofit and international organizations, with a strong track record of overseeing multiple grants and optimizing operations across sectors and jurisdictions.
For seven years, I served as Chief of Finance at FRIDA | The Young Feminist Fund, where I managed a $10M budget and helped strengthen financial systems to meet auditing standards—while staying grounded in the needs of a rapidly growing, global feminist fund.
Prior to joining FRIDA, I collaborated with diverse nonprofit organizations focused on land defense, grassroots development, and Indigenous women’s rights, supporting improvements in their internal controls, operational processes, and organizational systems.

I am a bilingual (Spanish/English) finance and operations professional with extensive experience working across diverse cultural and geographic contexts. My work focuses on strengthening financial and operational systems for organizations navigating complexity across countries, funding structures, and regulatory environments.
My career has been shaped by a commitment to community-driven approaches to social change, particularly in support of girls and young women globally. I have led financial strategy, managed multi-donor grant portfolios, accompanied international audits, and supported organizations in building systems that are both accountable and practical in their day-to-day use.
In my most recent full-time role as Chief of Finance at FRIDA | The Young Feminist Fund, I implemented financial systems that strengthened transparency, compliance, and operational efficiency within a growing global organization.
In addition to my in-house experience, I have provided financial and operational advisory support to organizations such as Rhizomatica Communications, the Mesoamerican Initiative of Women Human Rights Defenders (IM-Defensoras), and the Youth Climate Justice Fund—an initiative supported by The Rockefeller Foundation that advances youth-led climate justice movements through trust-based philanthropy and capacity development. I am also a member of Closer Than You Think, a UK-based community interest consultancy working at the intersection of activism, philanthropy, and the arts.
For the past 18 years, I have lived and worked in Oaxaca, Mexico. Working in this context—shaped by strong Indigenous communities and vibrant grassroots movements—has influenced how I approach finance: as a practice that must be rigorous, but also adaptable and grounded in the realities of the organizations it serves.
Outside of my professional work, I am part of an escaramuza charra team—women equestrians who practice Mexico’s national sport, honoring women’s contributions to the country’s history and traditions.
My work focuses on supporting organizations to build strong, compliant and sustainable financial and operational structures, particularly in contexts working with grassroots, feminist and community-led initiatives.
